The IHM'23 conference, supported by the Association Francophone d'Interaction Humain-Machine (AFIHM), is the privileged place for exchanges on the latest advances in research, development and innovation in Human-Computer Interaction. It will take place from April 03 to 06, 2023 in Troyes, France.
This year, the conference will focus on the link between Human-Computer Interaction and transitions, with a corollary question addressed to the HCI community: which design ethics for responsible, equitable, sustainable, fair and inclusive interactions?
The 2023 edition will also remain open to the themes traditionally addressed by the IHM conference (see call for papers).
The objective of IHM'23 is to provide a forum for discussion, exchange and sharing between the different actors of the community, with the ambition to promote the field of Human-Computer Interaction and strengthen the collaborations between the members of the community, with the ambition to :
- question the role of Human-Computer Interaction in the face of the challenges of global transition (climate, energy, digital, anthropological, social);
- promote interdisciplinarity between human and social sciences, cognitive sciences, design and computer science;
- encourage the participation of young researchers;
- develop links between the academic world and the business world around HMI issues.
The organization of IHM'23 will respect the principles of sustainability.
Call for Papers
We invite you to submit your completed work or work in progress, to propose and/or participate in workshops and interactive demonstrations (dates and information to come).
Doctoral meetings will be set up to allow young researchers to present their work and exchange with members of the community.
All themes of Human-Computer Interaction are welcome, including :
- Theoretical foundations of Human-Computer Interaction;
- Methods and processes for developing interactive systems;
- The morphology of interaction;
- The study of the uses of interactive technologies;
- User experience (UX) design;
- Interactive data visualization;
- Multimodal interaction;
- HCI engineering, design and implementation tools;
- Applications and case studies.
We encourage contributions in computer science but also in design, psychology, ergonomics, sociology of uses, education sciences, information and communication sciences, etc. in various fields of application (health, education, culture, socialization, sustainable development,...).
